Qarshi Mother & Child Healthcare Center (QMCHCC)


According to SDGs, neonatal and maternal healthcare is a big challenge for global health. It is a global target to the target ensure less than 70 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births by 2030.

Qarshi Mother & Child Health Care Center (QMCHCC) was established in the year 2001. This 5 bed healthcare facility is providing following health care services at very nominal charges:

  • Free O.P.D. & Antenatal checkups
  • Normal Delivery
  • Episiotomy
  • Dilatation & Curettage
  • Free Vaccination
  • Ambulance service
  • Polio Campaigns

All services are being provided by qualified Doctors, LHVs and Midwives of center on 24/7 basis. QMCHCC also provides free antenatal checkups and organizes polio campaigns in collaboration with Health Department, Government of Punjab. After continuous quality services the Health Department pronounced the QMCHCC as Government’s Authorized Vaccination Campaign Center for Polio Eradication Program and Training Point for Traditional Dais Course.

This center is playing important role to minimize the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) by educating and training of local people of more than 30 villages. The community surrounded by Qarshi Model Complex is found highly satisfied during various survey conducted through the beneficiaries and local area residents. The services of QMCHCC are found best as compared to BHUs for natural births (normal deliveries)
